One person, two areas of work
I'm Akash Patel, a postdoctoral researcher in the Robotics & AI group at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden, where I completed my PhD in 2025. My research develops autonomy for aerial and ground robots in environments where GPS and reliable maps aren't available: underground mines, natural caves, and planetary analogs.
I'm also the founder of Sarthi Robotics, where the same methods run real inspection work underground, without GPS, connectivity, or a pilot. The research side holds the publications and field studies; the building side holds the deployments and software. Start with whichever fits why you're here.
